I finally finished the general mood board for our whole house. I think I will print it off and tape it to the walls so whenever I get a crazy new idea, I will look at my mood board and see if it fits our over all plan.

The Hubs and I are both suckers for worn black leather and tufting. We like things simple, neutral and textural. (It’s so awesome to have a spouse with similar taste as you—especially if they are opinionated when it comes to style.)
I’ve talked about my lack of a cohesive decorating scheme before. And now that I have a focus, I can’t wait to get busy implementing it throughout the house.Â
So what do you do? Do you have a plan for your whole-house decor or do you just decorate each room as you go? Is yours cohesive or all over the place like mine is was?Â
Love it… Looks fabulous and I can’t wait to see it come to fruition! I don’t think I have a mood board as such, I do have a few photo inspirations and I guess my colour palette has to work with the wallpaper I chose… hmmm?!

Haha 🙂 You’re not a dork! I thought about that after I published it. Since the last one was about the dollhouse, the title should have been “Mood board for the REAL house.”
I like that though, I’m going to refer to our house now as our 1:1 scale.
I personally have never learned to use mood boards but I think it’s excellent that you made one and it’s looking fab!
