There are two small tabs screwed to the floor to keep them from from swinging in and out. We didn't install them right away, and it wasn't too bad without them, but it's definitely easier to open and close the doors with them. I think a Command Strip might work though if you didn't want to screw it into the flooring.

I love everything built-in! Very nice work! Are the doors only attached from the top? Is there anything on the floor? I’ve wanted to create something similar to our living room but I would not want to attach anything on the floor.
