<p>These people are amazingly talented.  Here is a highlight from each of their mini projects.  </p>
<p> Meagan&#8217;s urban loft has a hanging platform as the bedroom.</p>

<p>And she laid each of those bricks in the background individually.</p>
<p>Kyle even put a basement in her steampunk brownstone.  </p>

<div></div>
<div></div>
<p>Lyssa&#8217;s attention to the details is incredible.  And this is just the outside.</p>
<div><a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vb7_mAk2XR0/UYRllB5oOiI/AAAAAAAADxM/tRWzJSN0fhY/s1600/_DSC0294.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img decoding="async" border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vb7_mAk2XR0/UYRllB5oOiI/AAAAAAAADxM/tRWzJSN0fhY/s1600/_DSC0294.JPG" width="600"></a></div>
<p> Audra&#8217;s house is a 1/2 scale little cutie.  She even put a fish pond in the yard.  </p>
<div><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Zdigvnno4Co/UYRQbW3H9tI/AAAAAAAAKhs/bYgzxxQ7yNw/s400/DSCN1289.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img decoding="async" border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Zdigvnno4Co/UYRQbW3H9tI/AAAAAAAAKhs/bYgzxxQ7yNw/s1600/DSCN1289.jpg" width="600"></a></div>
<p>Mandy&#8217;s made sure her house looked lived in with very cute detials.</p>
<div><a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UH19laSH9Cg/UXwASwM__fI/AAAAAAAABXU/oLTUg1JrbiU/s320/image11.jpeg" imageanchor="1"><img decoding="async" border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UH19laSH9Cg/UXwASwM__fI/AAAAAAAABXU/oLTUg1JrbiU/s320/image11.jpeg" width="600"></a></div>
<p>Each room in Linda&#8217;s is so cool, but I think the living room is my favorite. </p>
<div><a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-B2_7qz_f3GY/UYZ65bsDZ9I/AAAAAAAAD88/9wAbdHet7X0/s320/IMG_2745.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img decoding="async" border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-B2_7qz_f3GY/UYZ65bsDZ9I/AAAAAAAAD88/9wAbdHet7X0/s320/IMG_2745.JPG" width="600"></a></div>
<p>Jazzi made a gorgeous little pool room.</p>
<div><a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tbGX3SUGHvA/UYXqdHET1uI/AAAAAAAADAM/UlAHclT_BpE/s400/100_3055.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img decoding="async" border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tbGX3SUGHvA/UYXqdHET1uI/AAAAAAAADAM/UlAHclT_BpE/s1600/100_3055.JPG" width="600"></a></div>
<p>Rebecca went all out on a 1/4 scale house.  For some reference, most of the dollhouses have 8&#8243; (representing 8&#8242;) ceilings, Rebecca&#8217;s would be 2&#8243;.</p>
<div><a href="https://mamasminis.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/20130505_190906.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img decoding="async" border="0" src="https://mamasminis.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/20130505_190906.jpg" width="600"></a></div>
<p>Neen made her art deco house from a hollowed out vintage radio. </p>
<div><a href="https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8257/8712548024_4700363dc4_z.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img decoding="async" border="0" src="https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8257/8712548024_4700363dc4_z.jpg" width="600"></a></div>
<p>Marisa made the wood burning stove for her shanty from little plastic cups!</p>
<div><a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Lkne3R3UtPY/UYD6RUPeH4I/AAAAAAAABJc/sQOuaw5Ak3g/s320/Picture+024.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img decoding="async" border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Lkne3R3UtPY/UYD6RUPeH4I/AAAAAAAABJc/sQOuaw5Ak3g/s320/Picture+024.jpg" width="600"></a></div>
<p>Ginger made her house from paper mache, and it gives it a very cool look.</p>
<div><a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jojlRC2qoMA/UYbUHJMpJmI/AAAAAAAAHxg/cuG5ACFHaJc/s400/DSC03690.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img decoding="async" border="0" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jojlRC2qoMA/UYbUHJMpJmI/AAAAAAAAHxg/cuG5ACFHaJc/s1600/DSC03690.jpg" width="600"></a></div>
<p>You cannot tell that Brae&#8217;s artist studio is not life size, such amazing quality!</p>
<div><a href="https://www.otterine.com/blog/images/art/130503_art_bath_sink04.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img decoding="async" border="0" src="https://www.otterine.com/blog/images/art/130503_art_bath_sink04.jpg" width="600"></a></div>
<p>Leena made a great little zen garden with a real bonsai to go along with her tea house from last year.</p>
<div><a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZEmdl_sW1JQ/UYZ8EQvZgfI/AAAAAAAAElk/5oJoKWHl3oI/s1600/lyhtdytl%25C3%25A4hi.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img decoding="async" border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZEmdl_sW1JQ/UYZ8EQvZgfI/AAAAAAAAElk/5oJoKWHl3oI/s1600/lyhtdytl%25C3%25A4hi.JPG" width="600"></a></div>

<p>Time for a quick update on your progress for the dollhouse contest!&nbsp;</p>
<p>I’m having so much fun watching what all of you are creating.&nbsp; And some of you are getting it done so fast.&nbsp; Mine is still gutted.&nbsp; Actually, it’s even more gutted than the last time I showed you.&nbsp; I’ll post an update on my progress soon as well.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Houses:</strong></p>

<p align="center"><a href="https://mamasminis.wordpress.com/2013/01/05/undersized-urbanite-update-week-4/">Rebecca’s 1/4 scale</a> | <a href="https://qspace.id.au/blog/tag/undersized-urbanite/">Q’s tudor</a></p>
<p align="left">Can’t get over how tiny Rebecca’s (Mama’s Minis) new house is.&nbsp; So. Cute.&nbsp; And I love the Tudor trim on Q’s cottage (she has some really cute stuff going on on the inside too!).&nbsp;</p>
<p align="left"><strong>Architectural details:</strong></p>

<p align="left">Lyssa’s book nook is just amazing, I can’t wait to see it filled with teeny-tiny books.&nbsp; And Kyle had a brilliant idea to cut up egg cartons to make a faux stone facade.&nbsp; The texture looks perfect.&nbsp;</p>

<p align="left">Oh, and <em><a href="https://www.craftsinstitute.com/dolls-house">The Dolls’ House Magazine</a></em> wrote a very nice little post about the contest yesterday! Read it <a href="https://www.craftsinstitute.com/dolls-house/blog">here</a>.</p>
<p align="left">If you’re participating, how is your project coming along?&nbsp; Are you happy with it so far?&nbsp; Think you’ll have enough time to finish?&nbsp;</p>

<p>I’m so impressed and excited about what those of you who have joined the dollhouse contest are doing.  Since the contest is just getting started, I thought I’d introduce you to a few of the participant’s houses (in no particular order):</p>
<p align="center"><strong>Jazzi</strong><strong> and her “Renovator’s Delight”</strong></p>
<p><img decoding="async" border="0" align="left" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CUnisTRuC_Y/ULWS7DtPG7I/AAAAAAAACHo/xV5GmheUU6Q/s320/100_2709.JPG" width="320" height="240"></p>
<p> </p>
<p>How cool is this house?!  It has a second floor, sunken swimming pool.  </p>
<p>Half of the house was inexplicably walled off when she bought it and there was no access to the several rooms except for a few too-small doorways.  She has already begun her demolition and renovations and it’s now (mostly) a big, open space.  Read more about it here.  </p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p align="center"><strong><a href="https://mamasminis.wordpress.com/category/undersized-urbanite/">Rebecca’s</a> concept model</strong> </p>
<p> <img decoding="async" title="Screenshot-30" alt="" align="right" src="https://mamasminis.files.wordpress.com/2012/11/screenshot-30.jpg?w=584&#038;h=329" width="400" height="225"></p>
<p>So, Rebecca is moving in a few days.  For the contest, she hopes to make a house from scratch.  But because she is in the middle of a move and can’t actually work on the dollhouse, she is building a virtual model. </p>
<p>You must click <a href="https://mamasminis.wordpress.com/category/undersized-urbanite/">here</a> to see more of her plans, the house is amazing and I want it in real life.  </p>
<p align="center"><strong></strong> </p>
<p align="center"><strong><a href="https://audrasminiatures.blogspot.com/2012/11/a-friendly-contest">Audra</a> has an adorable half-scale chantilly. </strong><img decoding="async" border="0" align="left" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AcCMG5a0u3o/UKyUEZu5fKI/AAAAAAAAIVg/NDvTGJuCDjI/s400/DSCN0209.jpg" width="350" height="262"></p>
<p align="center"> </p>
<p align="left">Audra is already remodeling.  As you can see from the painter’s tape, this is currently a dry-fit.  She has removed awkward attic space and turned it into vaulted ceilings.  </p>
<p align="left">And this house is half the size of the typical dollhouse, which seems way more challenging.  Can’t wait to see what she does with it!</p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p align="center"><a href="https://onshore-again.blogspot.com/2012/11/undersized-urbanite">Leena’s</a> garden</p>
<p align="center"><img decoding="async" align="right" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qedHI3Ia_vs/TuZTqtuHJJI/AAAAAAAABts/Pv6ewVUuVDM/s1600/teehuone+senkill%25C3%25A4.JPG" width="400" height="300"></p>
<p align="left"> </p>
<p align="left">Last year, Leena made an incredible Japanese tea house from scratch.  She had wanted to add a zen garden, but didn’t have the time.  </p>
<p align="left">This year, she gets to start and finish her garden around the house!</p>
<p align="left">You can follow her progress <a href="https://onshore-again.blogspot.com/search/label/undersized%20urbanite%20dollhouse%20contest">here</a>.</p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p>I’ve been preparing my old dollhouse for it’s addition and trying to figure out what style to remodel with.  I was thinking an old urban Victorian interior, but The Hubs had an awesome mid century modern idea and now I’m torn.  Maybe I’ll work up two mood boards and let you help me decide?  </p>
<p>In the mean time, have a great weekend everyone!  </p>
