A new house

No progress has been made in the kitchen yet. We purchased a range hood, but the venting hole in the wall actually has to be moved. Bummer. But once that’s…

I adore that house! Love the wallpaper, especially in the hallway.

    1. Thank you, I do too! The wallpaper is really cute, we’ll see waht stays in the end… 🙂

  2. Whoa! This is definitely not a standard dollhouse, really nice! And what a plan. I love that you are able to build up your childhood dream in miniature, it will be marwellous!
I’d love to participate, but maybe I’ll keep my mouth shut… I have no idea if I have time or energy for this one.

I love the little doors on the patio. Great find!
I am going to try super hard to start my A-frame dollhouse this year! Last year I did not get beyond starting a Pinterest board and putting a few links in it. I didn’t even buy anything. That is unlike me! I have houseguests all of Oct. and then there’s Christmas so I won’t be able to start until January but I think I can make it.

I need to sell my iMac dollhouse too. Any ideas on how to go about that?
    I should email Chris.

    1. Did you follow Morgan (brick house) 2 years ago? It seems like a fairly simple build. I’ll be happy to nag you to get started if you want. 😉 I haven’t sold a house yet, so i don’t know the best way to get their proper value, sorry. I have purchased mine and their accessories on Craigslist and eBay, but it’s hard to get the full value on those.

I’m in! Won’t start until after Christmas though… busy with other builds and such. Wonder what I should do this year… Another rehab? A kit? A scratch build?! Whatever I do, you can bet that my Pinterest boards, HGTV notes and BHG folders will come into prevalent use!!! So exciting!!

    1. Yay! Glad you’re in again Lyssa, can’t wait to see what you do!

  5. I’m relatively new to the miniatures community (still trying to find my way in & around, really) but I’m really looking forward to entering! Minis have really been helping me keep my sanity while writing my master’s thesis.

I also grew up in Maine, and I think that house will make the perfect fisherman’s cottage! I wouldn’t say it’s been a lifelong dream of mine, but I would truly love to end up in a lovely oceanfront home on the coast…preferably somewhere near Acadia National Park 🙂

    1. Oh, that is such a beautiful area, exactly what I had in mind!

I’m so excited that you’ll be entering. It really is a rewarding hobby. The miniatures community is a wonderful one, everyone is so helpful and generous, you’re going to love it!
