  2. I’ve noticed the exact same effect on my buying habits since making a regular and concerted effort to declutter! I love good deals, so my biggest downfall was usually clearance or sale items that I didn’t really need or have a place for. Now, I can just walk on by. It does feel so good to know you’re not a victim of marketing and consumerism 😉

    1. Very freeing. It’s funny that if someone had told me in the past I was just a victim of consumerism, I wouldn’t have believed it! 🙂

  3. I’ve never been much of a shopper but few years back when I started simplifying (not as much as you though) I have noticed becoming pickier and pickier about the stuff I buy. If I can’t find exactly what I want I rarely buy anything.
    What a good list, you are so right!
